Self-harm

CBT worksheets to support teenagers with self harm:

Self-harm is a significant mental health concern among young people, often associated with difficulties in emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and underlying mental health conditions.

Evidence-based approaches, such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)-informed strategies, are commonly recommended to support young people in understanding triggers, developing alternative coping strategies, and addressing the maintaining cycles of self-harm.

Our resources are designed to support clinicians in facilitating psychoeducation, mapping patterns of self-harm, and engaging children and young people in reflective exercises that promote safer coping mechanisms and improved emotional regulation.
