Worry

CBT worksheets to support young people with worry
CBT worksheets to support teenagers with worry.

Some young people may experience excessive or persistent worry that spans across situations such as school, friendships, or family life.

The NICE guidelines recommend Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)–based approaches as effective first-line treatments for mild to moderate anxiety in children and young people.

CBT Hub’s resources are designed to help practitioners and young people work together to understand and manage worry through structured, engaging CBT activities. They include:

  • Psychoeducation handouts explaining what worry is and how it works

  • Practical CBT exercises to explore real vs hypothetical worries

  • Easy-to-use tools for worry time, problem solving, and managing anxious thoughts

  • Visual, relatable materials that make sessions accessible and empowering for young people
