Terms & Conditions

These terms outline what you can expect from our service and what we expect from you. It is essential to review this information before using our site or subscribing to our services, including any free trial membership. By accessing or using our website, you agree to abide by our terms and conditions.

Who CBT Hub is for

  • You must be a professional user to access the website and its content. A professional user is someone who may use our platform and resources in a professional capacity, typically within their area of expertise or field of work. In this context, professional users are likely to be trainee and qualified therapists (or individuals working in a related professional capacity) who work with children and young people with mild to moderate mental health difficulties.
  • Our website is not intended for children and young people themselves or for the use of private individuals.

Our Products

  • All materials available for download from our website are the property of CBT Hub. These materials cannot be copied and are protected by copyright law.
  • We do not accept any liability for the outcomes resulting from the use of our resources. Our materials are developed to support practitioners in therapy delivery and not to replace good practice.

CBT Hub encourages practitioners to work within their own competencies, refer to existing suitable manualised and evidence-based treatment programmes, and discuss the formulation and case conceptualisation of clinical cases in supervision.

Subscriptions and Use of Products

Member accounts and subscriptions are strictly non-transferable. By using our services, you expressly agree not to engage in the sale, transfer, or exchange of member accounts or subscriptions under any circumstances. This prohibition explicitly extends to any discounted or free trial memberships or subscriptions.

Subscription Types and Details

  • Free Trials: Free trials allow users to download a maximum of five pre-selected resources, which can be used professionally by therapists and shared with clients. All terms of service apply to free trials.
  • Trainee Membership: A discounted trainee membership is available for those currently enrolled in a recognised training programme. Proof of trainee status must be provided within 7 working days if requested by CBT Hub. Acceptable forms of proof include an email from your institutional email address, confirmation of enrolment, or other official documentation. Failure to provide valid proof within the specified timeframe may result in your account being suspended or you being charged the full individual membership rate.
  • Individual Membership: Individual memberships provide access to one named user only. This membership permits use of our materials in therapy sessions and sharing copies with clients as appropriate. Logins and resources may not be shared with colleagues or others.
  • Team Membership (Access for Teams): Team memberships are workplace-funded subscriptions. The same terms of service apply, with access granted to each registered team member. Further details about team memberships can be found below.

Termination or suspension of your account may occur immediately and without prior notice.

We do not offer refunds, either in full or in part, under any circumstances.

Team Subscriptions

A team membership is an account purchased by an organisation on behalf of an individual team member. Each team member must have their own individual account, as sharing accounts is a violation of our terms and conditions and puts our organisation at risk.

  • Access: Each team member must register using a valid work email address linked to their organisation. Personal (e.g. yourname@hotmail.com) or generic (e.g. theorganisation@org.uk) email addresses are not permitted for team membership accounts.
  • Account Transfers: In the event that a team member leaves the organisation during the subscription period, their login may be transferred to another team member at no additional cost. This transfer must be requested in writing by the organisation, specifying the departing member’s account details and the replacement team member’s work email address. This policy ensures that organisations can continue to utilise their subscription efficiently.
  • Team responsibility: It is the responsibility of the subscribing organisation to notify CBT Hub if any team member leaves or is no longer authorised to access the account. Failure to notify us of changes to team membership may result in account suspension or termination.

Team memberships are intended strictly for use within a single organisation, by verified team members using valid work email addresses. Failure to comply may result in immediate suspension of your account and billing at the full individual membership rate.

In cases of suspected misuse, we reserve the right to contact the organisation’s senior management or governing body while we investigate. Serious breaches may result in legal action. Please note: no refunds will be issued under any circumstances.

Out of the utmost respect for our members—and for the children and young people who help shape this service—we take any breach of our terms extremely seriously. Our work is rooted in trust, integrity, and the ethical delivery of mental health support. Misuse compromises that mission, and will be dealt with accordingly.

Keeping your account safe

  • If you receive or select a user ID, password, or any other security information, it’s your responsibility to safeguard it. Treat this information confidentially and do not share it with any third party.
  • When registering an account, use your own first and last name along with an email address accessible only by you. Accounts must not be shared among multiple users. If you suspect unauthorized access to your user ID or password, promptly inform us at info@cbthub.org.

We reserve the right to deactivate any user ID or password, whether chosen by you or assigned by us, if we reasonably believe you have violated any of these Terms.

Payment Terms

  • The use of our products may require the payment of fees. We reserve the right to change our prices at any time and to set pricing at our sole discretion.
  • If you use a credit card for payment, our third-party payment processor, Stripe, may seek pre-authorization of your credit card account to verify its validity and availability of funds or credit. When a third-party payment processor is used, their use of your personal information is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policy.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to our products and/or services if you fail to make payment to us by the due date.

Warranties and disclaimers

  • By granting you the right to use the Products or Services, CBT Hub does not assume any obligation or liability with respect to your or your clients’ psychological or physical health.
  • We do not assume any liability for the outcomes resulting from the use of our resources. Our materials are developed to support practitioners with the delivery of therapy, not to replace good practice.

CBT Hub encourages practitioners to practice within the bounds of their own competencies, continue to refer to existing, suitable manualised and evidence-based treatment programs, and discuss the formulation and case conceptualisation of clinical cases in supervision.

The Website and its content, which includes worksheets, text, graphics, images, and other materials, are intended for general informational purposes. However, they may not always represent the most up-to-date research in all scientific and medical fields.

It is important to understand that these resources are not a substitute for professional advice. Before making any decisions based on the content found on the Website, it’s advisable to seek guidance from a qualified professional or specialist. Your reliance on the information provided is at your own discretion and risk.

Indemnity and limitation of liability

  • You are responsible for your use of our products and services, and you agree to defend and indemnify CBT Hub from: (a) your unauthorised or improper use of our Products or Services; (b) violation of any part of these Terms, any representation, warranty, or agreement referenced in these Terms, or any Applicable Law; (c) violation of any third-party right, including any intellectual property right.
  • CBT Hub will promptly inform you in writing of any such claim, demand, action, or suit; however, failure to do so will not affect your obligation of indemnity, except to the extent materially prejudiced thereby. We reserve the right, at our own expense, to assume the exclusive defence and control of any matter otherwise subject to indemnification by you, and in that case, you agree to cooperate with our defence of those claims.
  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, CBT Hub will not be liable to you for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your access to or use of, or your inability to access or use our products or any materials or content on our website. This includes damages for loss of profits, goodwill, or any other intangible loss, whether based on warranty, contract, tort (including negligence), statute, or any other legal theory, regardless of whether CBT Hub has been informed of the possibility of damage.

Fair Use

To ensure fair access for all users, the following limits apply when using the platform and downloading resources:

  • You can access up to 25 resources per 24-hour period
  • Once the daily limit is reached, access will reset automatically at the start of the next 24-hour period.
  • User activity is regularly monitored: A high volume of downloads within a short time frame, or access from multiple IP addresses, may be flagged as suspicious activity and will trigger an automatic alert. This may result in your account being paused or suspended while we investigate. You may also be contacted directly by a member of our team.

Changes to Terms

CBT Hub reserves the right to amend or update these Terms, as well as any other policies or practices, at any time. If a modification to these Terms significantly alters your rights or obligations, we may notify you and require your acceptance of the revised Terms to continue using the Products or Services.

We may communicate such changes through pop-up or push notifications within the Products, or via email. By continuing to use the Products or Services after such modification, you agree to adhere to the revised Terms.

A Final Note From Us

As practitioners, we never wanted to settle for anything less than the highest quality care for young people. That’s why CBT Hub was created — to offer thoughtful, evidence-informed tools that truly support therapy.

Every resource we develop reflects the time, care, and commitment we bring to this work, because young people deserve nothing less.

When our resources are misused or shared in ways that breach our terms, it’s not just a contractual issue. It compromises the integrity of everything we’ve worked so hard to build — and ultimately disadvantages the very children and young people we all aim to support.

For this reason, we treat breaches of our terms and conditions with the utmost seriousness — out of respect for those who adhere to our policies and to protect the wider purpose we are all working towards.
