CBT behavioural activation worksheet for low mood in children to build motivation and increase activity

Low Mood

These CBT resources support practitioners in using Behavioural Activation (BA) with children experiencing low mood.

Materials include child-friendly psychoeducation and values-based activities to help build motivation, identify what matters, and support re-engagement with positive activities.

CBT is recommended by NICE (NG134) for depression in children and young people, with Brief Behavioural Activation widely used as a practical, time-limited approach.
