Spot the Cap, Check the Thought
This social anxiety thinking styles worksheet is designed to help practitioners explore patterns in anxious thinking.
Using five relatable scenarios, young people identify the “thinking caps” behind worries about being judged, making mistakes or interacting with others. They can draw or write their answers inside the blank caps.
The worksheet supports discussion about the difference between a thought and a fact, and how anxious predictions can contribute to hiding or avoiding social situations. Practitioners can use the examples to introduce alternative perspectives and prepare for testing predictions through behavioural experiments.
