Playing it safe: How social anxiety can trick us

This resource introduces the concept of safety behaviours, showing how attempts to ‘play it safe’ can unintentionally maintain social anxiety.

Using Amina’s story as an example, it helps young people identify their own safety behaviours and reflect on why anxiety returns, even when nothing bad happens. Designed to support psychoeducation and collaborative discovery within CBT.
