The Worry Tree – Slowing Worries Down

This visual CBT resource helps children and young people distinguish between practical worries they can take action on and hypothetical worries that are outside of their control. Using a simple decision tree, it encourages problem-solving where appropriate and introduces strategies for letting worries pass when they cannot be solved.

It is designed to support worry management, psychoeducation and cognitive restructuring by helping therapists teach the difference between solvable and hypothetical worries in an engaging and memorable way.
