Put Your Thoughts on the Scales – Weighing the Evidence

A CBT worksheet to help young people explore an unhelpful thought by weighing up the evidence for and against it.

A softer alternative to the traditional “take your thought to court” metaphor, encouraging young people to stay curious, consider different perspectives and decide how true the thought feels after looking at the evidence.

Useful for: Cognitive restructuring, thought challenging and developing more balanced thinking.
