Low Mood

These CBT resources are designed to support practitioners delivering values-based Behavioural Activation (BA) with children experiencing low mood. The collection includes clear psychoeducation worksheets and values-focused activities that help young people build motivation, identify what matters to them, and re-engage with meaningful, rewarding experiences.

CBT is a NICE-recommended treatment for depression in children and young people (NICE NG134), and Brief Behavioural Activation is widely used for mild to moderate low mood as a practical, time-limited approach that supports engagement and change.
