Panic

CBT resources to support teenagers with panic

Our panic collection is grounded in evidence-based CBT approaches, drawing on the strong evidence for graded exposure and cognitive therapy as first-line interventions.

These resources are designed to support practitioners and young people to work together to understand and manage panic through structured, engaging CBT activities.

Created by experienced clinicians and educators, the materials use clear language, engaging visuals, and relatable examples to make panic work accessible and effective.

The collection includes:

  • Psychoeducation activities to explain the fight-or-flight response and normalise bodily sensations.
  • Panic formulations from both cognitive and exposure perspectives, mapping triggers, thoughts, sensations and behaviours.
  • Behavioural experiments and cognitive exercises to explore panic thoughts and challenge catastrophic misinterpretations.
  • Templates for graded exposure work, including panic diaries, exposure ladders and exposure logs to plan tasks and track progress.
