Panic

Our young person’s panic collection includes resources to support both exposure-based work and cognitive approaches to panic, in line with up to date research.

Materials include behavioural experiments and cognitive exercises to explore panic thoughts and challenge catastrophic misinterpretations, as well as templates for graded exposure work, including panic diaries, exposure ladders and logs to plan tasks and track progress.

Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) is recommended by NICE guidelines as a first-line treatment for panic disorder and anxiety.
